• If your child normally rides the bus home and you need to do a parent pickup, please reach out to Mrs. Brew & email Ms. Jackson in the Silver Spring Office by 2PM to ensure that we have time to add your child to the parent pickup list. You can also submit this through our SSE Transportation Notice

  • We cannot guarantee that any calls or changes after 2PM will be processed in time before dismissal.

Parent Pick-Up Procedures:

At Silver Spring Elementary, our primary purpose is to ensure the safety of the students as they leave Silver Spring. For this reason, the following protocol will be effective immediately to create a more efficient and safe system for picking up students at the end of the school day.

• As you arrive at the top of the hill at Silver Spring, continue to travel to the rear parking lot (by the playground equipment). Please see the map below.

• Follow the directions of the staff who will direct you into two lines on either side of the orange cones. Please stay in your lane until your child is delivered to you.

• Please have your child's number tag visible so our staff can take your child to the appropriate vehicle. Our staff will assist students with getting into each vehicle in the pick up zone.

• Once all students are safely in their vehicles, our staff will direct vehicles to exit the pickup zone.
